This morning I discover some strange little stories on my printer. One is all about a world made of food and the other is entitled 'The Friends'. Apparently there was an invasion of small children the previous evening. Anyway, I thought I'd share my favourite with you:
THE FRIENDS
ONCE THERE LIVED 4 BEST FRIENDS CALLED ELLA,SAM,JESSICA AND TAYLOR.OFTER SCHOOL THEY ALWAYS MEET AT ECHO OTHERS HOSES.ONE DAY THEY WENT TO THE PARK BUT SAM WAS KWIT AN ATVENTRER SO HE GOT THEM LOST THEY STAYED THERE FOR AGES ONE DAY ELLA AND TAYLOR FOND A WAY OUT IN THE MORNING JESSICA FOND HER WAY OUT SAM WAS ALL ALON. HE WAS REALLY SCERD HE LOOKED AND LOOKED BUT COULDN'T FIND HIS WAY OUT.ONE DAY HE FOND HIS WAY OUT.1
You gotta love a story with a happy ending! Apparently the girl who wrote this is seven years old and well, you have to hand it to her really, she is wise beyond her years. The story seems to have several morals:
- 1. It doesn't matter how many 'friends' you have, they will all leave you alone in the park, only YOU can find your own way out.
- 2. If you have one really CLOSE friend, by working together you will get out fastest. (See Ella and Taylor)
- 3. If you pay attention to the buggers that stick together, you can follow them out.
- 4. If you try to do something exciting, you will only end up lost and alone and everybody will desert you, only YOU can find your own way out.
- 1. Reproduced with kind permission of the author's grandmother.
