the long silence

I wrote some 'new' music at last! For months I've been saying to myself
that I should really get my arse in gear and sort this shit out coz
people seem to like it, and although some of my tunes are out
there (ie. I've donated 4 to this guy at work, who has an ongoing
project to promote new music talent to anyone and big producers and
stuff so I thought 'what the hey', and he's been playing it to Massive
Attack's producer and other peeps and I've had one song played on the
radio. When I say radio I mean a small internet radio station no one
listens to and I don't even know which tune they played...), I'm
afraid.

{later} ...Just found out that the Internet radio show is called href="http://radiodialect.net">[ d i a l e c t ] and they played my
tune in the show on the 11th March. It took me a while to find out which
one, since their link to it is broken, but if you go to the Audio
Archives and go into /20040311/ there's an mp3 called dave...{/later}

Anyway I've decided to be resolved about getting my 'proper' web site
up and running so there'll be somewhere where people can get my stuff,
if they like it so much. Since this though, I've had others who never
thought I wrote music come and tell me I should do something with it so I'm
worrying about (a) copyright and (b) how can I play it live? Should I
take my href="http://www.vintagesynth.org/yamaha/sy77.shtml">keyboard, href="http://www.tonefrenzy.com/2/Line6_AX2_212.htm">guitar amp, href="http://www.tommysguitars.com/images/263.jpg">guitar, mic and a
laptop , and try to
play some of the songs? Would I look silly when I've blatantly
just pressed play? I've been to gigs like that and they didn't
look that silly. maybe I should try to find someone who has a
funky electronic drumkit...

All this and more I want to open out to forums and just focus the
blog on the madness in SP and developments in the music. at least then
it'll be slightly interesting.
